Foundations & Flooring
Before building, we advise our customers
to call us for a consultation.
Once we visit the building site
we can provide the best solution
for the location.
We work with three different types
of foundations: filled concrete bricks, concrete stripes, and wooden posts.
On top of the foundations we place
our floor beams and recommend to put
an OSB platform.
If you order a house with a terrace,
we also include 27mm terrace boards.
Floors need to be bought separately;
we can provide 19mm and 28mm wooden floor boards from Lithuania.

Walls
The walls come in the following sizes:
· 44mm wide beams (recommended for garden sheds or garages only)
· 44mm wide beams + 100mm insulation + 20mm outside wooden cladding
· 68mm (recommended for most areas
of Portugal and Spain)
· 88mm and 135mm (laminated wood)
The choice of beam thickness is crucial
for the construction of a house, especially depending on the region it will be built in.
In the South of Portugal, we have found that in winter, 68mm walls provide sufficient insulation
from humidity and cold weather; also enabling
to keep the interior warm with a relatively small heating system. To keep the house cooler in summer we also recommend a minimum of 68mm walls
as well as shading the windows from the outside.
Additionally, we offer wall treatment with linseed oil
for the interior and eco-friendly paint
for the exterior, ensuring the longevity
and protection of the structure.
To further enhance insulation, we offer high quality ISO double glazed windows and glass doors that are compatible with structures built with 68mm beams
or wider. For those who prefer to design their own custom home, we offer an extensive catalogue
for inspiration.
Roof
When installing the roof, we use 19mm tongue and groove panels that are topped with an open diffusion membrane.
This ensures that any interior moisture
can escape to the outside, while preventing humidity from entering from the outside.
Extra roofing solutions can be purchased separately. We also offer mounting services
for your convenience.
